Police officers stood on the street to keep an eye on number plates of passing vehicles in the second day of odd-even traffic policy implementation at Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Jakarta, on Wednesday, 31 August, 2016. Till the second day of odd-even traffic policy's implmentation, Jakarta traffic police officers still give a red tickets to violators of the policy, and requiring them to attend a hearing to decide the fine’s amount. But in the future day, police officers would give a blue tickets to the policy's violators that mean they had to pay Rp. 500.000 fine via banks to get back they driver licence. The odd-even policy is made by the governor of Jakarta, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, in tackling the problem of congestion in the capital, replacing the 3-in-1 regulation. The odd-even policy system is based on the date of the day, if dated odd, then the vehicle may pass only those with odd number plates of the end, and vice versa.This policy applicable in a number of protocol roads on Monday-Friday from 07: 00-10: 00 and 16: 00-20: 00.
