A baby orangutan from Sumatra (pongo abelii) named Puspa was in the cage during the release ceremony at the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Jakarta, February 9, 2016. A total of 7 of the 17 orangutans confiscated from the illegal animal trade syndicates were thwarted in Kuwait (2) , Thailand (14) and Soekarno Hatta Airport (1) succeed in repatriation, and will be released back to its original place, the forests of Sumatra and Borneo (Pongo pygmaeus wurmbii) after undergoing a quarantine and health tests.
